How to Write a Self-Appraisal
Format: Live WebEX Audio and presentation
Date: Thursday, March 22, 2018
Time: 1:00 pm EDT
You probably evaluate your job performance as part of your organization’s annual review process. The words and phrases you use to describe your accomplishments and responsibilities have an impact on how your boss ultimately perceives and evaluates you; it’s easy to forget that the goal of a self-appraisal is to persuade as well as to inform. On top of that, the appraisal form your organization uses might have vague categories: How do you prove you have a “Good Attitude?” How do you define “Quality Work?” This webinar will offer tips to quantify your performance and get you on the same page as your boss.
- Discuss the differences between characteristics and measurable behaviors.
- Learn about common pitfalls.
- Develop action steps to prepare for the one time every year when you know your boss is giving you his or her undivided attention.
