Keynote Line-Up at 11th Annual Administrative Professionals Conference
Montel Williams to provide the Keynote Speech Opening Session
NIAGARA FALLS, ON, October 20, 2009 – The Administrative Professionals Conference announced today that Montel Williams, a decorated naval intelligence office, philanthropist, motivator, and Emmy Award winning talk show host, will be the premier keynote speaker during the four-day program of educational sessions and workshops, April 18-21, 2009 at the Sheraton on the Falls in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
The Administrative Professional Conference is the largest training event in Canada for Administrative Professionals, attracting administrative and executive assistants, secretaries, office managers, and other Administrative Professionals from across the country. Its more than 50 educational sessions and workshops tackle vital topics on how to get more out of software tools such as Microsoft Office and the Internet, getting more done in less time, project management, working with difficult people, and becoming a better business partner with your manager.
In 1999, after years of symptoms, WIlliams was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. He was struck with denial, fear, depression, and anger. Graced with strong values, courage, and hard-won wisdom, he will share his insights on the divergent roads a life can take and recounts how he rose to meet the challenges he's faced. Montel is the author of Climbing Higher; Mountain, Get Out of My Way and Living Well, his newest book and life-changing program.
“Montel makes it all relevant in keynote presentations for the Administrative Professional, because he understands and appreciates the role they play,” said Ellen Ackerman, Conference Director. “In fact, Montel spoke at our Administrative Professionals Conference in the US a few years ago and he brought his own admin along to share some of her insights. He was so inspiring, we knew we had to bring him to Canada.”
Other keynote addresses presented at the Conference include Major Deanna Brasseur, one of the first three Canadian women to graduate with their military "wings"; Dr. Elaine Dembe, one of Canada’s outstanding authorities on stress resiliency, longevity, and motivation; Paul Huschilt, an award-winning professional speaker and story-teller who is known for his humorous keynotes; and Colette Carlson, who will unveil her secret process for facing your fears, embracing your weaknesses, and coming face-to-face with what you can do and what you must do to achieve results.
